"Black Forest" Carved Head Of A French Bulldog
Charming, lifelike carving with glass eyes & a hinged lower jaw carved & painted with teeth & tongue. Possibly carved for display in a walking stick shop. The smaller version found on walking sticks where the hinged mouth is thought to have held gloves, once the owner had stopped for a visit or refreshment.
