George II Bureau In Figured Walnut
The fall with bookmatched veneers, featherbanding & crossbanding. Flanking drawers below, rather than lopers, support the fall. The interior with baize-lined writing surface, stepped drawers & a cupboard drawer lined with holly. The drawers & slide conceal a total of 8 secret drawers & compartments. The chest below with two short over two long drawers with later brasses. A prominent moulding above. On bracket feet.
