SOLD: Venetian Renaissance Maiolica Bottle
Attributed to Domenego da Venezia. The globular body painted with two portrait medallions on a yellow ground. Surrounded by flowerheads & leafy scrolls in blue, green, ochre & brick red. The neck with a prominent lip & tapered neck for ease of handling, banded above & below in yellow, a leafy band between. Base inscribed in an old hand: "BS" over "HSS 745".
