Tapestry Portrait Of A Sybil
Probably based on an Old Master painting by the likes of Guido Reni, Carlo Maratta,
Guercino or Domenichino. Such tapestries were woven in various centres as diplomatic gifts to sovereigns & nobilty, notably from the Kings of France as well as the Popes. See "European Tapestries in the Rijksmuseum", pp. 376-379.
