SOLD: Large Balance Beam Scales In Brass & Mahogany
Rare size, probably by W. & T. Avery of Birmingham. Nicely modelled with an elegant brass faceted baluster column supporting a double C-scrolled frame topped by a faceted spire finial. The pierced beam stamped "Class F". Two brass pans, one on a "clawed" arm, the other suspended on chains. Warm colour to the edge-moulded base. Including 8 circular stacked nesting weights & a bell-form weight with ring handle.
