SOLD: A Fine George III Library Writing Table In Mahogany
Tooled leather top. Three long drawers, the centre drawer wider. Nicely figured veneer. Matching faux drawers the other side. Original gilt brass handles & locks. Drawers lined with mahogany. The bottom edge of the apron inlaid all 'round with ebony & holly stringing.Tapered, square-section legs on brass cuffs with barrel-shaped castors. See 18th Century English Furniture, The Norman Adams Collection, p. 132, for a similar model.
