Chippendale Design & Period "Breakfast Table"
Nicely figured mahogany. One mahogany-lined drawer with period replaced handle, the handle to the faux drawer original. Inside-chamfered legs on brass barrel castors. The legs joined by a Gothic stretcher pierced with heart-shaped motifs. Based on Chippendale's designs for Breakfast Tables in the 3rd. edition of The Director, Plate LIII. The top of this table related to the left illustration, the stretcher related to the right illustration.
