SOLD: Georgian Pearlware Punchbowl With Political Slogan
Interesting Political Punchbowl, the interior with the slogan, "Success to Wm. Pitt;/& God Save the/King" within an oval cartouche framed by scrolling leaves & flowers. Chinoiserie border to upper inside edge, the exterior with Chinoiserie landscape. Possibly to promote Pitt's first election to Prime Minister in 1783 as George III's choice for the position.
