SOLD: Rare Pair Of Italian Baroque Pricket Candlesticks
Italian Baroque Pricket Candlesticks formed as Solomonic Columns. Intricately carved gilt Corinthian capitals above gilt leaf-wrapped spiral columns in faux green marble finish. Standing on plinths with 4 gilt acanthus-carved panels against a rose-coloured background. Inspired by Constantine's columns & Bernini's columned Baldacchino installed in St. Peter's , Vatican, in the 17th century.
