Portrait of a man in red conte. The sitter looks at the viewer over his right shoulder. Signed lower right: "P.A. Wille filius/del. 1773". Wille studied under his father, Jean Georges, & also worked with Greuze. He exhibited at the Academie in 1774 & had salon showings in 1775 & 1819. Held in museums including d'Angers, Cambrai, Bordeaux & Marseilles.
